Men's and Women's Teams Race at Great Lakes Regional

The Akron cross country teams concluded their season at the Great Lakes Regional Championships. The men ran their best race of the season, placing 24th in the country's deepest region. David Howard ran 32:00 on the two-loop 10km course to place 61st. He was the 19th MAC finisher. David Pykare (122nd, 33:12), Scott Mate (151st, 33:47), Chris Perun (155th, 33:53), and Adam Bray (177th, 34:24) also scored for the Zips.

Running without Adriana Zalucka, the bright spot for Akron was the stellar performance of Brandi Schoeppner. She placed 33rd overall (21:50) and sixth among MAC runners. Jennie Castle (54th, 22:16), Morgan Sulzener (71st, 22:34), Rachel Zubricky (147th, 23:47) and Jackie Fejes (185th, 24:51) also competed.

Three Zips Named to Academic All-MAC Cross Country Team
