November 5, 2003 Men's and Women's Teams Improve at MAC Championships Last year the Akron men's team placed 10th at the Mid-American Conference championships and the women placed 5th. This year the men moved up a spot to 9th and the women climbed to 3rd, just 9 points shy of the conference title. He was followed by Chris Perun (43rd, 26:00), David Pykare (46th, 26:06), Scott Mate (56th, 26:29), and Adam Bray (69th, 27:47). Adriana Zalucka (left) with the other top 3 finishers.
