Women Win Bronco Invitational,
Pykare and Howard Lead the Men

Led by Adriana Zalucka's runner-up finish, the Akron women won the Bronco Invitational hosted by Western Michigan. Three women dipped under 18:00 (Zalucka, 17:37; Jennie Castle, 17:57; and Morgan Sulzener, 17:58) and Brandi Schoeppner just missed in running a PR 18:02. Also scoring for the Zips was Katrina Jones (18:44).

Four men broke 27:00. David Pykare followed up his team-leading performance at All Ohio by again being the first Zip across the line in 26:01. David Howard, running conservatively in his first race after suffering a severe muscle strain, ran 26:27. Also racing well were Adam Bray (26:47) and Scott Mate (26:57).
