Akron Men Second at Central Collegiates. Sulzener's Runner-up Finish Helps Women Finish Third.

The Akron men proved that their performance at the Tommy Evans wasn't a fluke, placing second at the Central Collegiate Championships behind MAC pre-season favorite Central Michigan. David Howard's third-place finish paced the men and he was strongly backed up by the breakthrough performance of Adam Bray, the 13th collegiate runner and number two runner for Akron.

Morgan Sulzener's 17:57 clocking, good for second place, led the women. She was joined by Jennie Castle (8th) in the top 10. The third-place finish is the highest-ever for the Akron women in a Central Collegiates cross country race.
