Zips Host Four Home Meets in 2006

The University of Akron will be hosting four home meets this indoor season. The defending Mid-American Conference champions open the 2006 season on Friday, January 13 hosting Ohio, Pittsburgh and Seton Hall in the Akron Quad. Two weeks later Michigan State (men), St. John's and Youngstown State come to the fieldhouse for the Kangaroo Invitational. The final two meets are the Akron Open on February 4 and the Zips Invitational on February 17.

This year's team features five-time All American Beata Rudzinska (2:03.14). She is joined by NCAA 1500m qualifier Jennie Castle (2:06.91, 4:23.26), regional qualifier Emily Freudenrich (2:07.60) and MAC scorer Rachel Zubricky (2:12.71, 4:57.42) to form a potent middle distance squad.
