October 19, 2005 Rudzinska Leads Zips to Top 10 Finish at Penn State Beata Rudzinska's 5th-place finish helped propel the Akron women's cross country team to an 8th-place tie at the Penn State National Invitational. Rudzinska's time of 20:49 was the same as that recorded by 4th-place finisher Fiona Crombie of Providence. Crombie placed 10th at last year's NCAA Cross Country Championships. Running strong races behind Rudzinska were seniors Brandi Schoeppner (26th, 21:45) and Morgan Sulzener (31st, 21:57). Adriana Zalucka continues her strong comeback placing fourth on the team and Becki Michael moved into the fifth position for the first time this season. The Zips tied traditional cross country power Cornell and beat then-ranked number 29 Maryland and the host school, among others in the field of 34 teams. PSU National Invitational Results ***
