Zips Women Sweep Top-3 Places at Tommy Evans Invitational
On Senior Day, Beata Rudzinska, led a 1-2-3 finish by Akron seniors to help the Zips to a victory over Buffalo in the 37th-annual Tommy Evans Invitational. Rudzinska ran 18:33 on the challenging Firestone Metropark course. She was followed by classmates Brandi Schoeppner (2nd, 18:43) and Morgan Sulzener (3rd, 18:56). Rachel Zubricky, a junior, ran 19:21 to capture fifth place while sophomore Holly Sumser's tenth-place finish (20:22) completed the Akron scoring.
