Zips Tabbed as Pre-season Favorites by Mid-American Conference Coaches
By returning the 2007 MAC-runnerup team intact with individuals who captured four outdoor track titles the Akron women's cross country team enters the 2008 season as favorites. The 2007 team was led by two-time team MVP Sediah Erskine. Erskine will be a junior in 2008. Cassandra Schenck was on the first-team All MAC cross country team in 2007. Larisa Arcip, Kim Lorentz and Carol Eckerly were MAC champions in the 1500m, 5000m and 10,000m respectively. Profiles of all team members can be found by clicking here.
