Lorentz & Arcip Lead Akron at Pre-nats

Kim Lorentz and Larisa Arcip ran lifetime bests in the 6km race at ISU Pre-national Invitational to lead Akron to a 22nd-place finish. In the process the Zips beat Virginia, UCLA and Colorado State (who began the season ranked 14th in the country). Following Lorentz and Arcip were Cassie Schenck, Danielle Sidell and Colleen Moran in the scoring 5. The Zips next compete at the MAC Championships in Ypsilanti, MI. Last year Akron placed 2nd in that meet and over the last 5 years have compiled a 50-7 record in conference competition.
