Zips Capture Tommy Evans Invitational

The Akron women's cross country team swept the top 4 places to win the 4oth Tommy Evans Invitational. Kim Lorentz raced to a course record (18:04) to take the individual title. A tight pack of Akron runners, Larisa Arcip (18:54), Cassandra Schenck (18:57) and Colleen Moran (19:03) took the next three places. They were joined by Olivia Jaworek (19:29) in the top 7. The Zips totaled 17 points to best Buffalo (46), Youngstown State (78) and Cleveland State (105). After a week off from competition Akron will travel to Buffalo for the Buffalo Stampede Invitational on September 20.
