September 24, 2008 Zips Win Buffalo Invitational Kim Lorentz raced to her second course record (17:45) to lead the Akron women to the team title at the Buffalo Stampede Invitational. The Zips scored 38 points to beat a field of ten teams, including Bucknell (44), Buffalo (73) and Binghamton (77). With the win the Zips remain undefeated on the season. Also contributing to the team success were Larisa Arcip (18:29), Colleen Moran (18:49), Cassandra Schenck (18:51) and 800m runner Danielle Sidell (19:27). Lorentz broke the two-year old record of Cornell's Toni-Lynn Salucci (18:14).
