All-Ohio Championships Feb. 15, 2003
Highlights of the All-Ohio Championship meet included the Lady Zips winning the Team Title while the men finished second. The throwers had some outstanding performances as well: Greg Corbitt defened his 35# weight throw title for the second year in a row making him a 3x Champion in that event. Greg's throw of (65' 1/2") was an NCAA provisional mark and the second best throw of his career. Greg also added the shot-put title to his resume with a winning mark of (58' 1 3/4"). Dustin Shaffer finished second in the weight (60' 2") Walter Levert was third in the shot (49' 7") and added a weight pr of (46' 6 3/4"). For the Lady Zips Freshman Liz Mangen had a breakout performance in the 20# weight with a (53' 3") effort narrowly missing the school record. Lindsay Feiten also pr'd in the weight @ (49' 1 1/2"). The Zips will gear up for the MAC Indoor Championships by attending The Scarlett & Gray Inv. @ Ohio State.
