Good spread 2-5 C
Race last 300m B+
I have left the grade for "Experience big meet" as an incomplete because the test of whether we learned
anything from this race will be determined by how we handle future meets.  The good news is, despite
running a sub-par race as a team, we still managed to beat MAC schools CMU, EMU, and WMU, in
addition to schools such as Vanderbilt, Illinois, Iowa, and Pittsburgh.  If we race as we are capable we
could add Ball State to that list.  To earn a passing grade in the class on big meet experience we
need to improve the following things: (1) Learn to exercise control over our circumstances, (2) Get into
the race from the start, and (3) Reduce our team spread (which, from 2-5, was 20" greater than at Miami).
This week we will focus on preparing ourselves to compete well as a team at All Ohio.
Congratulations to Erin Frye, Katrina Jones, Lisa McCaulley, and Jennie Castle on their races.

The benefits of this meet will be measured down the road.  Congratulations to the four guys we had run faster than they
did at Miami: Parker, Bray, Isenberg, and Trombetta.  At All Ohio we absolutely must compete better as a team (note the
time differences between each of you from #2 to #8 (6", 10", 14", 13", 9", 13").  We must run together if we want to be
successful at All Ohio.  A picture of what we could have done with a healthy David Howard and taking the best of our
performances from Notre Dame or projected from Miami would be (3) Howard, (25) Perun, (28) Moyers, (62) Pykare,
(66) Myers, (76) Parker.  In the team scoring this would come out as 179 points which would have been good for 5th place.
