I am extremely proud of this team's effort.  We have never had a team compete with as much
heart and conviction as this team did on Saturday.  We could have run a better race, but we
couldn't compete with more desire.  The improvement we have shown over the past year has been
tremendous.  Last year Morgan finished 37th and Brandi finished 42nd.  Jennie was 52nd her
freshman year.  Rachel ran an awesome race, running a PR and finishing as the 4th freshman.
Adriana once again showed she is a big-time MAC runner moving up through the race to place
3rd.  Let's get excited to train well in preparation for the regional meet.  We have some
business to take care of in Terre Haute.

Good Position B+
PB Races B
Run Tough A
Though it may not have been a 'great' team race, it was certainly a 'solid' team race. Dave Howard and
Scott Mate race excellent races. Howard was aggressive and very competitive. Two more weeks and you
will be even more competitive! Scott ran an extemely even race and knocked almost 30 seconds off his PR.
Pykare and Perun ran gutsy races and continued to be so consistent. On similar courses Pykare has run
between 26:01 and 26:20 every time. For the most part, besides Western, Perun has run between 25:54 and 26:00.
Bray may have had an off day but he will most definitely bounce back for a great race at Regionals. Many figured
we would finish 11th and we topped that. But you have to realize that we can run with Toledo and Ball State. So
we can not be totally satisfied with our efforts on Saturday. We have to come back hungry and ready to attack
in Terre Haute.
