The results of this meet are a very encouraging sign for this season.  Despite my uncertainty about each
person's role on the team, I thought the team raced in a tough-minded and confident fashion.  Morgan did
a great job as our front runner, running the second-fastest time ever on the Indigo Lake course.  Jennie ran her
best cross country race ever, and got a PR to boot.  Brandi, Katrina, and Becki worked well together and
showed that we have the makings of a great team.  We still need to cut down our 1-5 spread but everything
is in place to have an unforgettable season.

The coaches were pleased by the men's team's performance.  We felt that there was a solid effort
from the entire squad.  There are obvious areas where we can improve, but that should be viewed
as a good thing.  We know what we have to do to get better and we have the time to do it.  We
mixed it up with Buffalo pretty well and they are a team we should plan to beat at the MAC meet.
To do that we need to continue to train conscientiously and stay healthy.  For Saturday's meet,
kudos go to David Howard on his comeback from knee surgery.  David Pykare ran 34 seconds
faster than last year and Adam Bray was 82 seconds faster.  Scott ran great for his first cross
country race longer than 5km and beat Jake Haughn, who ran sub-15 for 5km last year.
