| A great
day for us. Our best meet of the
year and we came very close to realizing our delusions of grandeur. |
| I was very
pleased with the way we competed as a group, even when things didn't set
themselves up perfectly. |
| Each of
you raced the full 6km to the best of your ability on that day. In fact, you raced better than you realize. |
| Compare
the places of our top 5 at the 3km mark with their final places: |

| From what
I saw and heard we finished very strongly in the last 1km. That's the sign of a team that is fit and |
| knows how
to race. Congratulations to Morgan
for being just the fourth Akron woman to qualify for cross country |
| nationals
and to Brandi for earning All Region honors.
Finishing in the top 25 in our region after placing 44th at MAC |
| is
an exceptonal turnaround. I am
also proud of the mental toughness that Beata and Jennie showed when they |
| weren't
at their best, and the great races of Rachel, Becki, and Emily. Go Zips! |
