| Comments | |||||||||
| The goals I had coming into the meet included: | |||||||||
| Grade | |||||||||
| 1. Race with confidence | B- | ||||||||
| 2. Get good position | B- | ||||||||
| 3. Compete the full 5,000m | B- | ||||||||
| 4. No one passes Akron in the last 300m | B+ | ||||||||
| 5. Beat Western Michigan | A | ||||||||
| This was a schizophrenic race for us. Our top three were able to put themselves in the race and take advantage | |||||||||
| of the high-quality field. They all have season-best times to show for their efforts and Morgan and Jennie | |||||||||
| also got PRs. Their fast times came from competing! Unfortunately, it was also a race that the remainder were | |||||||||
| not able to benefit from the quality of the competition. Perhaps it was because the competition was too good, | |||||||||
| or perhaps it was because we didn't know how to race under these circumstances. I believe it is the latter. | |||||||||
| You have all run faster and your training has been good. So we have to learn from this experience so we can | |||||||||
| race well at All Ohio, Penn State, and especially the MAC meet. | |||||||||
