The goals I had coming into the meet included:
Grade
1. Put together a complete race A-
2. Manage the race well A
3. Beat Buffalo A
4. Beat all teams from our region A
5. Top-10 finish A
In our sport there is a time when it is most important to be running at your best and, to a certain degree it doesn't matter
what you've done prior to that time.  Although we have positive things to show for the initial portion of our season,
we hadn't jelled as a team before Penn State.  Our race here sends a clear signal that we're on the right track and that
we're coming together at the right time.  I had some questions in the days prior to the race -- would we be able to handle
a 6km race? Would we be able to handle running in a field of over 300 runners?  Would we be flat, tired, and sore from
the week's training?  Would we be able to rebound from All Ohio? Were we healthy?  The performance of each of you
answered those questions in the most positive way.  That's good news.  The better news is that we will be better for
the MAC Championships.  We have a lot in the tank (note that Beata, Jennie, and Brandi averaged a faster pace than
what they actually ran for their first mile),and the course, competition, and our training will have us ready to go.
