Comments
The goals I had coming into the meet included:
Grade
1. Race aggressively B
2. Beat the people in "your race" B-
3. Finish strongly C
4.  See the other teams in our region C
5. See how we stack up with teams outside our region C-
The Good:  Beata's 12th-place finish, Brandi's PR, Holly's competitive race, Becki's improvement
The Bad: Our 1-5 split is 2:24.  We cannot be successful in any meet with that separation between
our first and our fifth.  We did not respond in a positive competitive manner when the race got
tough.
This is always a touch meet and, as I told you immediately following the race, we're a better
team now for having run in it.  However, for us to get much better we need to make an honest
appraisal of where we are and what we need to do to be competitive in our future meets.  Most
importantly, as competitors, we have to establish consistency and a minimum standard of
performance.  Both All Ohio and the Penn State National Invitational are going to be challenging
meets also.  We will be in big fields and we can't let the number of runners around us keep us
from running our race.  Notre Dame is behind us and now we have to start getting ready for the
rest of our season.  Next up: All Ohio.
