Women's Team Captures All Ohio Crown.

Russell Breaks School Record in Pole Vault.

Corbitt Goes Provisional in Weight Throw.

Rudzinska, Sims, Sulzener, Zalucka, Women's 4x4 All Ohio Champions.

Freshman John Russell broke the school record in route to capturing the pole vault title at the All Ohio Championships hosted by the University of Findlay. Russell's jump topped that of Kevin Poest set last year.

Greg Corbitt posted a seasonal best performance in the 35-pound weight throw, 65' ½". That mark, which is an NCAA provisional-qualifying performance, was part of a 1-2 Akron sweep of the event with Dustin Shaffer.

Beata Rudzinska (800m), Kira Sims (pole vault), Morgan Sulzener (3000m), Adriana Zalucka (5000m), and the 4x 400m relay team of Rudzinska, Jennie Castle, Deanna Caldwell, and Lucretia Corbin, all placed first to contribute to the Zips' team championship.
