Women 5th, Men 10th at MAC Championships
Paced by Adriana Zalucka's third-place finish, and bolstered by Lisa McCaulley's surprising 14th-place performance, the Akron women placed fifth at the MAC Cross Country Championships. Erin Frye (20th), Morgan Sulzener (37th), and Brandi Schoeppner (42nd) also contributed to the scoring on Akron's best placing since winning the MAC title in 1999. David Howard finished as the top freshman and 23rd overall to help the Zips to a two-place improvement over last year's team finish. Todd Moyers was Akron's second runner (43rd in the team scoring). Rounding out the top five were Chris Perun (51st), David Pykare (68th), and Jake Magier (72nd).
