Small Group Competes at Golden Flash Gala
Four middle distance and distance runners competed at the Golden Flash Gala. Leading the way was sophomore Emily Freudenrich, who placed second in the 800m (2:17.19). Amy Hutchison placed fifth in that race running 2:27.09. Brandi Schoeppner made her 5,000m debut on Friday night running a negative-split race (9:13, 8:55) to place fifth with a time of 18:08.83. Freudenrich joined fellow 800m runner Jennie Castle on the "A" 4x 400m relay team. Castle split 57.1 on the second leg and Freudenrich anchored in 59.4.
