Sulzener, Distance Medley Place Second at Black Squirrel Classic

The first race of 2004 for the Akron distance group was the women's distance medley relay in the Black Squirrel Invitational. Akron placed second in the event in 12:18.30. Rachel Zubricky ran 3:48 for 1200m, Tamala Perryman ran a 61 split on the 400m leg. She was followed by Becki Michal running 800m (2:26) who handed off to Jennie Castle (5:01). The meet concludes today.

In the women's 3,000m race Morgan Sulzener ran a PR, 10:09.67 to place second. Also running a lifetime best in that race was Brandi Schoeppner, who finished fourth in 10:22.24.
