Women Capture Tommy Evans Title. Men Finish Third.

Morgan Sulzener followed in the footsteps of previous Akron greats Michelle Rizzo (1998, 1999) and Bobbie Hardbarger (2000, 2001), and current teammate Adriana Zalucka (2002) as individual champion of the Tommy Evans Invitional. In doing so she helped lead the Akron women (29) to the team title over Buffalo (43), Kent State (48), and Cleveland State (119). Sulzener was joined in the top 10 by Jennie Castle (3rd, 18:36), Brandi Schoeppner (6th, 18:59), Katrina Jones (9th, 19:36), and Becki Michael (10th, 19:40).

The Akron men were third with 72 points behind Kent State (15) and Buffalo (52). David Howard (8th) and David Pykare (10th) both placed in the top 10.
