Rudzinska Qualifies for NCAA Championships in 800m with 2:03.98

Beata Rudzinska will be making a return trip to the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships and will be competing at a site that brings back fond memories. Last year Rudzinska qualified for the NCAA Championships in Sacramento, California. This year she will compete in Austin, Texas by placing in the top five in the Mideast Regional Championships 800m in a school record time, 2:03.98. She qualified for the finals by running 2:04.12, at the time a school record, in the preliminary round on Friday. Also competing in that preliminary race were Emily Freudenrich, who lowered her personal best to 2:07.60, and Jennie Castle (2:09.00). Earlier this year Rudzinska travelled to Austin, where she won the Texas Relays 1500m (4:23.25).
