36th Tommy Evans Invitational Opens Cross Country Season Saturday

The University of Akron is hosting the 36th annual Tommy Evans Invitational cross country meet this Saturday. Akron, the defending women's team champions, will be joined by Ashland, Buffalo, and Robert Morris. For the first time the meet will be held at Firestone Metro Park in Akron. The men's 4-mile race starts at 11:30 am. The women's 5-kilometer race follows at 12:15 pm. David Howard, the Most Valuable Runner for the past two seasons, returns to lead the men and All-MAC performer and last year's individual winner, Morgan Sulzener, leads the women.
