Welcome to the Akron Animation Association's home page. |
||||||||
| We are an official student organization at the University of Akron dedicated to the promotion and appreciation of animation.
We tend to focus primarily upon Japanese animation, or anime, due to the
quality in terms of plot, design, and over all presentation.
We currently hold meetings every other Saturday in Zook Hall, Room 110, on the main campus from 10 AM until 5 PM. These meetings are open to any who wish to attend and are free of cost. Anyone is welcome to drop by at any time during the course of the day. A schedule of our meetings may be seen in our news and events section. |
Most meetings
consist of an anime showing in a theatre-like atmosphere and
occasionally a guest speaker. We usually have a set schedule,
however, there is an hour during which members can show any animation
they bring in.

Cartoon Network is trying to expand their anime content with a new site called the Toonami Reactor. It will supposedly have streaming video of some of their anime content and some other interesting features.

5/06/01--This is likely to be the last update by me, as I'm turning over the reins on Tri-A to a new president. I'll still be around to advise, but I won't be taking a big part in the day to day running of the club. Sayonara, and best of luck to Tri-A. 5/19/01--The next meeting will be on Saturday, May 19th. The spring semester is over, and further meetings will probably be held by Josh Hansford. |
