Multiple locations can be set when downloading from OCLC in the 949 field by separating the locations by comma. Example: loc=bierc,wayne,sci

Different Classification Numbers in Different Locations

If the other locations have different call numbers than Bierce, move the call numbers into that location's item records. This includes the textual call number "LAW PERIODICAL." Bierce Library call numbers should be in the bibliographic record if possible. This applies to any format such as electronic journals and videos.

Examples:

Wayne/Bierce:
Bibliographic Location: multi (bierc, wayne)
Items: Call number is the same--do nothing
Example: Ireland's holy wars
Bibliographic Location: multi (bierc, wayne)
Items: Call numbers are different, leave Curriculum Center call number in the bibliographic record, and put the LC call number in the Wayne item record
Example: You read to me, I'll read to you : very short stories to read together
Science/Archives
Bibliographic Location: multi (sci, arch)
Items: Call number is the same--do nothing
Example: Spectroscopy and dynamics of methanol
Bierce/Law
Bibliographic Location: multi (bierc, law)
Items: LC Call number is in bib. record, the textual call number "U.S. REPORT" is in the law items
Example: United States Supreme Court reports
