Academic Search Premier -- Replaces Periodical Abstracts: The world’s largest scholarly, multi-discipline, full text database designed specifically for academic institutions. This resource indexes over 4300 periodicals and contains full text for over 3400 scholarly publications. Academic Search Premier includes full-page images as well as color embedded images. This scholarly collection provides full text journal coverage for nearly all academic areas of study - including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies.
America: History and Life: Bibliographic reference to the history of the United States and Canada from prehistory to the present. The database comprises almost 400,000 bibliographic entries.
1960- present.
Annals of American History Online: Full text of over 2000 primary documents in American history, including: historical accounts, speeches, memoirs, poems, editorials, and cultural criticism. Also has multimedia files including more than 500 pictures, hundreds of video clips, and audio of famous speeches.
Annual Bibliography of English Language and Literature: Lists monographs, periodical articles, critical editions of literary works, book reviews, collections of essays and doctoral dissertations published anywhere in the world. The bibliography consists of 71 volumes beginning in 1920 and issued annually in printed volumes.

Anthropological Literature: Provides records describing articles and essays in anthropology and archaeology of two or more pages, from works published in English and other European languages.
Art Abstracts: Indexes several hundred international journals plus yearbooks and museum bulletins on art including archaeology, architecture, city planning, crafts, films, graphic arts, industrial design, landscape architecture, museology, and photography. The electronic counterpart to the printed Art Index.

ArticleFirst: ArticleFirst is an index of the items listed on table of contents pages of over 12,000 journals. This index covers articles, news stories, letters and other items on topics as diverse as business, humanities, medicine, popular culture, sciences, social sciences, and technology. For most items, the database also provides a list of libraries that hold the journal.
Arts and Humanities Citation Index Expanded: Citations and some abstracts for journal articles in the arts and humanities. Large representation of journals. Provides searching on cited sources. Corresponds to the printed index of the same name.

Avery Index to Architectural Periodicals: Includes records describing articles in approximately 1,000 periodicals dealing with the field of architecture and related disciplines.
1977- present.
Bibliography of American Literature: Nearly 40,000 records of the literary works of approximately 300 American writers from the period of the Revolution to 1930.
Bibliography of the History of Art: Covering European and American art from late antiquity to the present,the Bibliography of the History of Art indexes and abstracts art-related books, conference proceedings and dissertations, exhibition and dealer's catalogs, and articles from more than 2,500 periodicals. The Bibliography of the History of Art is updated quarterly and covers 1973 to the present.
Chicano Database: The Chicano Database identifies all types of material on Mexican-American topics and about Chicanos. Updated quarterly,the Chicano Database covers at least 1967 to the present. Records added since 1992 have expanded its scope to include the broader Latino experience, including Puerto Ricans, Cuban Americans, and Central American immigrants.
Com Abstracts: Provides full-text search and retrieval of thousands of abstracts from articles appearing in the professional literature; an index to more than 12,000 communication related web pages at 230 communication web sites.
Digital Media Center: Contains more than 80,000 images, most of which come from the major museums around the country. In addition, there are small collections of images from Ohio universities' projects, including the Akron Art Museum through the University of Akron.

Encyclopædia Britannica Online: Full text of the Encyclopædia Britannica.
Encyclopædia Britannica School Edition: to the Encyclopædia Britannica, Britannica Student Encyclopedia, and Britannica Elementary Encyclopedia.
English Short Title Catalogue: Describes works printed in any language in England or its dependencies from the beginning of printing through the end of the eighteenth century, as well as works printed in English anywhere else in the world during that period. Updated daily, ESTC contains more than 423,000 records.
FRANCIS: FRANCIS covers a wide range of multilingual, multidisciplinary information in the humanities (63%), social sciences (33%), and economics (4%). FRANCIS is strong in religion, the history of art, and literature, with particular emphasis on current trends in European and world literature.
Grove Dictionary of Art: Contains 45,000 articles on every aspect of the visual arts: painting, sculpture, graphic arts, architecture, decorative arts and photography from prehistory to the present day. Related information found in newspapers and other websites have been added to this resource, as well as access to over 30,000 art images from electronic galleries around the world.
Grove Dictionary of Music and Musicians: The authority on all aspects of music world-wide. Covers academic and professional levels, and includes non-western and popular music.
HarpWeek: The Civil War Era: Full text and images of Harper's Weekly, 1857-1871.
Historical Abstracts: Complete reference guide to the history of the world from 1450 to the present (excluding the United States and Canada, which are covered in America: History and Life).

History Universe: Access to a variety of primary manuscripts, photographs, and records, and to secondary materials, from scholarly articles through encyclopedia entries dealing with African American studies.
Humanities Abstracts: Index and abstracts to articles from diverse subject areas within the humanities. Includes or has links to full text.
Humanities Full-Text: Contains full text for over 350 journals of interest in art, philosophy, history, communications, and general interest.

Index to 19th Century American Art Periodicals: Nearly complete coverage of U.S. art journals from the 19th century. Database includes all contents, from articles through advertisements, poems printed in the volumes, images of sculptures, paintings, or decorative arts. This index is a good source for art; art history for artists, illustrators, photographers; and, aspects of business and industry from the period.
Infotrac Full-Text Articles (1,000 Journals): Index to citations in 1,000 journals with full-text access to almost 900 journals. Covers many subject areas at the undergraduate level.
ITER (Bibliography of Medieval and Renaissance Europe): An authoritative bibliographic database of over 500 journals, plus books, conference proceedings, web sites, annotated bibliographies,discographies, and other scholarly sources having to do with the Middle Ages and Renaissance (400-1700AD) in multi-language entries from 1995 forward.

MLA Directory of Periodicals: List of periodicals in literature, language, linguistics, and folklore that are covered regularly in the MLA International Bibliography.
MLA International Bibliography: Indexes over 3,000 journals, some series and monographs on linguistics, modern languages, literature and folklore. Corresponds to the printed MLA International Bibliography of Books and Articles.

Music Index Online
NewsBank Newspapers: NewsBank Newspapers is a collection of full-text newspapers available online. The database includes 17 Ohio newspapers, plus other major newspapers from other states. Content includes local and regional news, including community events, schools, politics, government policies, cultural activities, local companies, state industries, and people in the community. Paid advertisements are excluded.
