Academic Search Premier -- Replaces Periodical Abstracts: The world’s largest scholarly, multi-discipline, full text database designed specifically for academic institutions. This resource indexes over 4300 periodicals and contains full text for over 3400 scholarly publications. Academic Search Premier includes full-page images as well as color embedded images. This scholarly collection provides full text journal coverage for nearly all academic areas of study - including social sciences, humanities, education, computer sciences, engineering, language and linguistics, arts & literature, medical sciences, and ethnic studies.
ACM Digital Library: A vast resource of bibliographic information, citations, and some full-text articles from the Association for Computing Machinery. List of full-text publications available on ACM Digital Library.
Aerospace & High Technology Database: The Aerospace Database provides bibliographic coverage of basic and applied research in aeronautics, astronautics, and space sciences. The database also covers technology development and applications in complementary and supporting fields such as chemistry, geosciences, physics, communications, and electronics. In addition to periodic literature, the database also includes coverage of reports issued by NASA, other U.S. government agencies, international institutions, universities, and private firms.

ArticleFirst: ArticleFirst is an index of the items listed on table of contents pages of over 12,000 journals. This index covers articles, news stories, letters and other items on topics as diverse as business, humanities, medicine, popular culture, sciences, social sciences, and technology. For most items, the database also provides a list of libraries that hold the journal.
Biological Abstracts (BIOSIS): Includes Previews. Indexes and abstracts approximately 5,500 international biological and biomedical journals. The electronic counterpart to Biological Abstracts.

Computer Source (Consumer Edition): Computer Source provides researchers with the latest information and current trends in high technology with abstracts and indexing for over 330 periodicals. Topics include computer science, programming, artificial intelligence, cybernetics, information systems, robotics, and software. This database features over 250 full text periodicals covering valuable market information in computers, telecommunications, electronics, and the Internet.

Encyclopedia of chemical technology (also known as Kirk-Othmer Encyclopedia of chemical technology, 4th edition): Describes the theory and practice of chemical engineering, the industrial production and uses of chemical materials, and basic subjects of chemistry. Searchable by keyword(s), including Chemical Abstracts registry numbers, author, author affiliation, company, brand, trade names, and section type: physical properties, chemical properties, manufacturing and processing, production and shipment, economic aspects, specifications, standards, quality control, analytical and test methods, health and safety factors, uses, and derivatives. Includes numerous tables, figures, and bibliographic references. Has a North American emphasis, whereas Ullmann's has a European and Japanese emphasis. Continues to be updated.
Engineered Materials Abstracts -- SEE Materials Sciences Collection with METADEX: Abstracts to articles regarding the research, manufacturing, practices, properties, and applications of polymers, ceramics, and composites.
ENGnetBASE: A collection of fulltext engineering handbooks.
GeoBASE: Provides current coverage of 3000 journals and approximately 2000 other sources including books, proceedings, reports, irregular publications, maps. Topics covered include earth science, ecology, geography and marine science. The backfile provides coverage of some 5000 separate periodicals and several thousand other non-serial publications. The material covered includes refereed papers, journal and magazine articles, and other scientific or technical items.

GeoRef: Contains nearly two million records of the American Geological Institute's geoscience database of North America since 1785, and other areas of the world since 1933. The database is the equivalent of four major reference publications: Bibliography of North American Geology, Bibliography and Index of Geology Exclusive of North America, Geophysical Abstracts, and the Bibliography and Index of Geology. Additional items come from special bibliographies produced on request for state surveys or societies, and annual subject and author indexes.
HighWire Press: Stanford University's HighWire Press publishes important journals in the areas of science, technology, and medicine journals. It provides free online access to the back files of about 120 journals and the full text of hundreds of thousands of articles. Individual titles are represented in the library's catalog, UA Libraries Catalog.
History of Science and Technology: Citations to journal articles, conference proceedings, dissertations, and books and book reviews on the history of science. Indexing covers 1976-present (history of science) and 1987- present (history of technology).

IEEE Xplore Online Service: Full-text access to IEEE transactions, journals, magazines and conference proceedings published since 1988 plus select content back to 1950, and all current IEEE Standards.
Infotrac Full-Text Articles (1,000 Journals): Index to citations in 1,000 journals with full-text access to almost 900 journals. Covers many subject areas at the undergraduate level.
INSPEC (OhioLINK version): The world's largest bibliographic database in the field of physics, electrical engineering and electronics, computers and control engineering and information technology. Developed by the Institution of Electrical Engineers (IEE).
1969- present.
Journal Citation Reports: JCR presents quantifiable statistical data to determine the relative importance of journals within their subject categories. The JCRR is available in two editions: the Science Edition covers about 5,000 leading international science journals from the ISI database; the Social Sciences Edition covers about 1,600 leading international social sciences journals from the ISI database.

Materials Sciences Collection with METADEX: Comprehensive coverage of all aspects of materials science are provided by the three well-known databases in this collection METADEX, Materials Business File, and Engineered Materials Abstracts. Contents include: international literature on ferrous and non-ferrous metals, polymers, ceramics, plastics and composite materials; the practices of materials science and engineering as they relate to these substances; technical and commercial developments in materials science.

Math SciNet: MathSciNet provides access to Mathematical Reviews and Current Mathematical Publications. MR provides reviews or summaries of articles and books that contain new contributions to mathematical research. CMP is a subject index of bibliographic data for recent and forthcoming publications.

Patent Database: The US Patent and Trademark Office (PTO) now offers World-Wide Web (Web) access to bibliographic and full-text patent databases.
Periodical Abstracts -- SEE Academic Search Premier
Polymer Library (formerly Rapra Abstracts): Contains information on rubbers, plastics, adhesives and polymeric composites. There are more than 700,000 records in the database from 1972 to the present, covering commercial, marketing, technical and academic aspects of the rubber and plastics industry from over 500 journals.

Proceedings First: Citations of every congress, symposium, conference, exposition, workshop, and meeting received at The British Library.

PsycINFO: Covers the professional and academic literature in psychology and related disciplines. Provides references and abstracts to articles in over 1300 journals in more than 20 countries, and to book chapters and books in English. Corresponds in part to the printed Psychological Abstracts.

Safari Books: Provides "best-in-class" technical and business reference books, journals, research reports and documentation from more than 65 of the world's top IT and business publishers.
Science Citation Index Expanded: Indexes 5,300 major journals across 164 disciplines including biochemistry, biology, chemistry, computer science, mathematics, physics, and medicine.

Social Sciences Citation Index Expanded: Citations and some abstracts for journal articles in the social sciences. Large representation of journals. Provides searching on cited sources. Corresponds to the printed index of the same name.

State Academies of Science Abstracts: Summaries of research of the 50 state academies of sciences.
TRIS Online (Transportation Research Information Services): The TRIS Database contains almost half a million records of references to books, technical reports, conference proceedings, journal articles and on-going research in the field of transportation. The following fields are covered: all modes including highways, rapid transit, railroads, maritime and aviation; various disciplines including planning, finance, design and construction, materials, environmental issues, safety and human factors, and operations. TRIS does not contain information on vehicle standards and specifications, patent information, market research, or news articles. TRIS focus is transportation research.

Ullmann's encyclopedia of industrial chemistry, 6th edition: Ullmann's encyclopedia of industrial chemistry, 6th edition Searchable online version of the 28-volume printed encyclopedia containing more than 1000 major articles, 10,000 tables, 20,000 figures, and extensive references to further sources of information. Includes a German-English dictionary of technical terms. Also includes full text index, author index, CAS registry number index, and keyword index.
Water Resources Abstracts: Summaries of the world's latest technical and scientific literature of water-related topics, covering the characteristics, conservation, control, pollution, treatment, use and management of water resources.
