General Purpose:
Bierce Library Map Room is primarily a Library service point to its extensive map collection. It provides a quiet space for consideration of maps, and tables and other flat surfaces for viewing them. It can also be used for small meetings, instructional sessions, and study groups (see Special Conditions).
Description of Room and Equipment:
The Map Room is located on the second floor of Bierce Library at the right of the elevator. There are four tables that seat six people comfortably. The Map Room is not designed for instructional use or computer assisted training, however laptops can be used. Laptops are available on the 3rd Floor of Bierce Library, next to the vending machine room. Projectors, and small media equipment can be used for presentations. Contact Classroom Services, located in Bierce Library, ground floor at 972-6878 for equipment. At least a 12-hour notice is required.
Capacity:
Seating up to 24.
Hours of Availability:
The Map Room is available Monday through Friday from 7a.m-10 p.m.; Saturdays from 9a.m.-8p.m.; and Sundays from 1p.m. to midnight. Extended hours and University scheduling for finals, holidays, etc will affect the availability of the room.

Signs will be posted for scheduled activities.

Special Conditions:
Patrons always have access to the space to get Library materials and may interrupt events as needed. No food or drink allowed due to preservation of the maps and other materials.
