Following are some possible headings that can be used in a UA Libraries Catalog subject search:

Reference sources

Reference sources, with the exception of microforms and reserve materials, are located on the first floor of the library behind the reference desk. These items do not circulate, so they cannot leave the library building. Microforms and reserves are located on the ground floor.

Handbooks

Handbooks are located in various parts of the library, depending on their call number. Handbooks that are part of the reference collection do not circulate.

Periodicals

Printed periodicals are located on the ground floor. The newest, or "current" periodicals are located in the reserve room, while the older volumes are in the bound journal section on the ground floor. Some periodicals can be accessed electronically through various Indexes/Databases.

Indexes and abstracts

Print Indexes
Print indexes are located at the end of the reference collection on the first floor, behind the reference desk. Some indexes are accessible electronically, either through the Article Indexes and Databases link from the library home page, or with direct links from their UA Libraries Catalog record.
