World Civ: Africa (Morehouse)
Course Objective:
The objectives of this course are:
- To outline the course of events of the African continent from the appearance of the first
homo sapiens about 200,000 years ago to the continuing crises in Nigeria, Zaire, and
Rwanda
- To analyze the effects of the slave trade and colonialism on African societies and how
others view Africans
- To explore the political and economic problems selected African countries have
experiences since independence
- To examine the end of South African Apartheid
