Shaolin          Temple
Temple Guardian figures flank the gateways and doors
 
Dragon carved Stele in the first courtyard of Shaolin Temple. The drum in the Yuan Dynasty Drum Tower can be heard for 30 miles.     Blue ceramic tiled rooftops sit atop red painted walls.

There are several temples within the complex. Just as in Imperial palaces, the center panels of the stairs to the temples are ornately carved. Another stele erected to commemorate an event or a 
famous visitor.
