MAKE A DONATION

Like most scientific projects, the Ziyaret Tepe archaeological expedition requires considerable funding each year to send a field team to Tepe to conduct our eight weeks of excavation. In the past, we have been fortunate to receive funding from a wide variety of governmental, instititutional, and private donors from North America, Europe, and Turkey. Most of our funds are given on an annual basis, which means that during the non-digging part of the year, we are busy finding the resources needed for the following summer.

Private donors interested in the archaeology and culture of Turkey, the Assyrians, and in international collaborative scientific studies make regular, tax-deductible donations. A gift to the Ziyaret Tepe archaeological expedition goes directly to the expenses associated with the dig; no overhead costs or fees are deducted.

In the US, direct gifts are accepted throughthe The University of Akron. In the UK and Europe, we have incorporated a charitable organization to accept donations. In return for your donation, we keep you informed on the progress of the work and, with your permission, acknowledge your generosity on our website.

The easiest way to make a donation is to use The University of Akron On-Line Giving Page.

Directions: The link above to the On-Line Giving Page should automatically fill in the required information to direct your gift to our research. In the "Other" box you will see the annotation "Ziyaret Tepe Archaeological Expedition". All you need to do is supply your personal data for the contribution.

Thanks for your support! Every dollar counts, and will be well invested in our scientific exploration.

This project is a joint undertaking of the University of Akron, University of Mainz, Cambridge University, and Marmara Univeristy.

Dr. Timothy Matney is the Project Director.
